Job Description Purpose of the Job: The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the packaging operation in order to pack product to the correct quality, to optimize productivity, all while utilizing the equipment in a safe and effective manner. Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications: Grade 12A tertiary qualification in Food Technology / Food Science / Microbiology or any relevant qualification would beadvantageous. Computer literacy. (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP.Suitable candidates must have the following work experience: A minimum of five years post qualification experience in a FMCG operation, of which five years must have been in a Supervisory capacity Suitable candidates will possess the following skills, abilities and knowledge: Project management skills.Ability to multitask and handle pressure.Good organizing, planning and time management skills.Good communication skills (written and verbal).Analytical Thinker (structure thinking).Active participation in health & safety initiatives, taking a lead role in safety optimization in the drive towards zero incidents. Ensure all HACCP Guidelines, Rules and Regulations are being followed throughout the food production process, including the proper completion of all required documentation.Develop talent and conduct on the job coaching with supervisors and ensure that they are properly trained.Build and maintain relations with supporting departments such as QA, Maintenance & Agriculture.
