Purpose of Position

  • To lecture in the Faculty of Commerce & Law the following modules:

Business Management (1st year, NQF 6); Quantitative Techniques (1strd year, NQF 6), Financial Accounting (NQF6), Economics ((1st year, NQF 6), To assist in the administration and departmental affairs and activities as required by the Head of Programme (Commerce).

  • To set and mark assessments.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Lecturing
  • Curriculum development
  • General and academic administration
  • Assessment: setting, marking and moderation
  • Preparation of module outlines, study guides, notes and additional study materials
  • Quality Assurance
  • Assistance with the preparation, co-ordination and attendance at functions, events, registration and activities (exhibitions, open/career days)

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum qualification

  • At least a relevant Hons Degree, but preferably a Masters’ degree.

Experience

Relevant lecturing or teaching experience

  • Experience in a higher education environment will be beneficial
  • Necessary knowledge of higher education practices and processes
  • Relevant research experience
