Description

At Pearson, we are committed to a world that is always learning and to our talented team who makes it all possible. From bringing lectures vividly to life to turning textbooks into laptop lessons, we are always re-examining the way people learn best, whether it is one child in our own backyard or an education community across the globe. We are bold thinkers and standout innovators who motivate each other to explore new frontiers in an environment that supports and inspires us to always be better. By pushing the boundaries of technology — and each other to surpass the boundaries — we create seeds of learning that become the catalyst for the world’s innovations, personal and global, large and small.

The role of this position requires effective co-ordination of the programme’s projects and management of their inter-dependencies including oversight of any risks and issues arising. Due to the nature and size of the organisation it is not possible to provide a complete and comprehensive list of responsibilities. Responsibilities may change from time to time in consultation with the Head of Programme.

  • Managing the programme’s budget on behalf of the HOP, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefits as the programme progresses
  • Assist to facilitate the appointment of designated individuals RAAs
  • Ensuring the delivery of new products or services from projects is to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the programme plan and programme governance arrangements
  • Managing developers contributions to the programme
  • Managing communication with all campuses and the national office
  • Initiating extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the programme are identified or issues arise
  • Reporting the progress of the programme at regular intervals to the HOP

  • Assist in managing and monitoring the quality of Commerce assessments, including the examinations and marked exam scripts by external examiners.
  • Participation, where relevant, in academic meetings such as the Examination Board, Research committee and Academic Committee.
  • Participation, where relevant, in management meetings.
